A re-posting/collaboration of a recent facebook status and email, for those who aren't on my facebook or email...
As a
child I realised I should be a vicar running a church and I've finally made
it!
I'm absolutely thrilled, delighted and excited to be Team Vicar in
the Parish of Brereton and Rugeley, in Lichfield Diocese, where I'll be ministering
across the five churches in the Parish, while having particular responsibility for running
St.Michael's Church (the Parish Church of Brereton) and The Church of the Good
Shepherd (on the Pear Tree estate in Rugeley).
While I will be sad to be leaving my post
as Assistant Curate in the Parish of Great and Little Coates with
Bradley, I also cannot
wait until May, to begin ministering in Brereton and Rugeley and moving to
beautiful Staffordshire and into my amazing new house there –my first
Vicarage!
I have thoroughly enjoyed ministering in west Grimsby, and will continue to do so for another couple of months yet.
I also want now to publicly say a HUGE thanks to everyone in Grimsby who has supported me over the past three and a half – four years
here, and whose company I've enjoyed. I am extremely thankful to everyone here, and especially to those who have assisted in my training. I have honestly had a blast, learnt a lot,
and will miss you all.
But, I am also looking forward to, and hugely excited
about, my upcoming move.
My
final service here in Grimsby, will be on Sunday 11th May at 10:30 in St. Michael's
Church, Great Coates Road. It will be a Holy Communion service, followed
by a bring and share meal. All are welcome and I hope you will join me
then. Please bring some buffet style food to share.
[Please note that there will be no Sunday morning service at St.Nicolas' Church, Great Coates, that day so that all can join me at St. Michael's.]
My Licensing service will be on Saturday May 24th at 4:00, in St.Michael's Church, Brereton (Main Road,
Brereton,
Staffordshire,
WS15 1DU). It will be followed by refreshments in St Michael's Church Hall. Again, all are welcome.
My first Communion will be held at the Good Shepherd the next morning, Sunday 25th May. [Please note that there will be no Sunday morning service at St. Michael's Church, Brereton, that day so that all can join me at the Good Shepherd.]
Thank you! :D
